The Kitsap County Stream Team program has been
reorganized into two SWWM (Surface and Stormwater Management)
Program funded programs. One involves education and outreach to and
for volunteers called the
"Stream Stewards" Program. The other involves grants for
restoration/enhancement/preservation called the
"Backyard Habitat Grants".
The program lead for "Stream Stewards" is
Arno Bergstrom, Kitsap WSU
Extension. The grants lead is
Carin Anderson,
Kitsap Conservation District.
There will be an informational meeting
on Wednesday, FEBRUARY 16th at 7 PM at the Fairgrounds, Eagles
Nest regarding these new changes and upcoming Stream Stewards
training. Grant deadline is February 25th!
