Mentoring
Kitsap
County, WA — The entire community is invited to help celebrate National Mentoring Month at a very special presentation on the “The Power of Mentoring” by Dr. Susan Weinberger, an international authority. This free event, co-sponsored by the Kitsap Youth Mentoring Consortium and the Kitsap Tobacco Alcohol and other Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition (KTASC), is Wednesday, January 21st at the Silverdale Beach Hotel from 5:00–7:30 p.m.
Several mentor program representatives will be available to answer questions from
5:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. The program begins at 5:30 p.m. and is hosted by Commissioner Josh Brown. Dr. Weinberger’s presentation focuses on the forms and benefits of
mentoring and ways to increase the number of mentoring relationships for youth in Kitsap County. To
