Building and Working Hours Change
Monday
(Port Orchard, WA) – As a result of
the County's budget reductions, building hours are being changed. Effective
Monday, May 4th, building and working hours change for Departments and
offices in the Administration Building. The changes are highlighted below.
Except for the Elections Division, the Building will be closed on Fridays
beginning May 8th. Elections, as noted below, has requirements for the
upcoming May 19, 2009 Special Election.
The Administration Building is open Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m. Administrative Services, Assessor's Office, Commissioners' Office
and the Treasurer's Office provide customer service during those hours.
The Auditors Office is open for recording, licensing and financial
services 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The Elections Division of the Auditor's Office is open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00
p.m., Monday through Friday through June 5th. This allows for processing
ballots for the May 19, 2009 Special Election, and to allow voters the
opportunity to vote an electronic ballot or receive a replacement ballot. It
also meets requirements to be open during the Candidate Filing process for
later elections this year. Beginning June 8th they will move to 8:00 a.m. to
5:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
The Department of Community Development is open 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
Monday through Thursday.
Personnel and Public Works are open 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday
through Thursday. Their building is closed on Fridays.
Public hours for Parks and recreation are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday
through Thursday, and Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Individual working
hours for staff vary throughout the week to accommodate reduced hours and
furloughs.
Departments in the County Courthouse building and the Prosecutor's Office
continue normal operating hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
