Instructions for Making a Property Tax Payment by Internet Check
Welcome! You are about to make a payment using an internet check. The check you create will authorize the bank to debit your account today for the total amount of the transaction.
A $1.00 fee, set by the bank, will be charged to your account for processing the transaction.
Once authorized, it may take up to 4 business days to post to the Kitsap County database, but it will be accepted as of the date you made the payment.
1
Before beginning, please confirm with your bank that your account is authorized to accept electronic checks. Most money market and investment accounts do not allow epayments, even if you have paper checks. Also, please be very careful to enter your bank information accurately.
A $35.00 returned item fee will be charged if your payment is returned for any reason.
2
On the payment worksheet, enter the parcel number of the property you are paying taxes on. This number is listed in the upper left of your property tax bill titled 'Account Number' or search the online tax records by pressing the SEARCH button on the payment worksheet.
3
Upon entering the parcel number, select one of three options. Option one is to pay the minimum property tax amount due on the property. Option two is to pay all property tax amounts owing on the property. Option three is to remove a parcel number once you have entered it by pressing the REMOVE PARCEL button to the left of the parcel number.
4
You may enter up to 7 different parcel numbers to pay on one worksheet. Only one bank fee will be charged.
5
Having selected all the parcel numbers and amounts you would like to pay select the START PAYMENT button. On the next page, the parcel worksheet, you will be given the opportunity to print a copy of the parcel numbers and amounts you have selected for payment. We recommend you keep a copy for your records in addition to the confirmation email you will receive at the completion of the transaction.
6
You will have the option to register or continue as an unregistered user. By registering, your payment history is saved, but you will have to remember your password between payments. If you forget your password, call the Treasurer's Office during normal business hours to have it reset.
You will be prompted at the end of the process to enter an ACCOUNT NUMBER for verification.
This number is the first Tax Parcel number you entered on the worksheet.
You must enter the
dashes. Keep typing the numbers even though it may appear there isn't enough room in the field.
Print this page to follow along as you continue through the payment worksheet.
