Recruiting new members for Ferry Advisory Committees

PORT ORCHARD, WA—The Kitsap County Commissioners are seeking ferry riders from Bainbridge Island, Bremerton and Southworth interested in serving on the Bainbridge Island, Bremerton and Southworth Ferry Advisory Committees.

Ferry Advisory Committees represent ferry riders while promoting improvements to the ferry system through interaction with the Washington State ferries, the Kitsap Regional Coordinating Council, the Transportation Commission and the Legislature. Committee members collect input from ferry riders from their terminal and keep riders informed on issues affecting service to their ferry terminal.

Interested residents who are regular ferry users from any of these terminals are encouraged to apply and must be willing to function as part of an advisory team, and willing and able to attend meetings on a quarterly or bi-monthly schedule, depending on need..
