Free Composting Class Offered in Poulsbo

(Port Orchard) – Master Composters will host a one-hour compost class on Sunday, September 30 during the 10th Anniversary Open House at Raab Park in Poulsbo. Plan to attend and learn easy and practical ways to turn yard trimmings and kitchen scraps into a rich soil amendment. In addition to basic composting techniques, natural lawn care and worm bins will be discussed.

The event will be a chance for the public to visit the Children's Garden, Pea Patch and Compost Demonstration Site between the hours of 1pm and 4pm.

Where: Raab Park, Poulsbo
When: Sunday, September 30, 2007
Time: 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Cost: Free

There is no charge for the course, but space is limited. Participants should register by calling The Open Line at 360-337-5777.
