Kitsap County Area Plan for Aging Services

Kitsap County Division of Aging & Long Term Care, the designated Area Agency on Aging for Kitsap County, is responsible for the planning, development, coordination, and delivery of a comprehensive system of services to enable our aging and disabled citizens to live as independently and with as much dignity as possible.

The Area Plan, as the strategic overview of the direction and activities of the Division, describes Kitsap County in terms of demographics, geography, economy, profile of services and service infrastructure. The needs and service preferences of older and disabled adults are discussed, and planning objectives and accompanying budgets are outlined.

The 2010 Update to the 2008-2011 Area Plan reports on the accomplishments and several issue areas identified over the past year – please see Appendix E. Also included are the revised budget and other updated documents.
