PERSONAL PROPERTY AFFIDAVIT DEADLINE - 4,022 personal property affidavits were mailed to Kitsap County businesses in January this year. To avoid late filing penalties, this affidavit must be returned to the Kitsap County Assessor no later than April 30, 2002. This annual requirement updates the Assessor as to changes of equipment, leasehold improvements, and supplies being used for business purposes. A depreciated value, validated by this affidavit, will be reported to each property owner following receipt by the assessor. This value will become the basis for property taxes payable in 2003.
