improvements that are increasing efficiency, and providing more options and

In April we launched a new procedure for issuing warrants (payment checks)
to our internal departments. The new procedure allows for daily processing
of vouchers (check requests). Previously vouchers were processed weekly. As
a result, we are seeing a reduction in errors, and a significant reduction
in processing time. We are also working with our vendors on a program that
will allow us to utilize direct deposits on all payments. Direct deposit is
a much more efficient and cost effective process for paying vendors compared
to cutting paper checks.

The warm summer months are our busy season for issuing marriage licenses. If
you are planning your wedding this summer, keep in mind there is a three-day
waiting period after issuing the marriage license where applicants may not
get married. We continue to grow our e-Recording service which allows the public to record documents electronically, eliminating
the need to manually scan, label and index certain information. For the
month of June, e-Recordings increased by more than 20 percent compared to

instructions on your ballot. Use a dark ink pen to completely fill in the
box when voting, and remember to sign and date the lavender return envelope.
