Regular Property Tax Levy
The Board of Trustees of
the Kitsap County Rural Library District adopted Resolution No. 2007-03
proposing to increase the District’s regular property tax levy. This proposition would authorize the District
to increase its regular property tax levy to $0.48 per $1,000.00 of assessed
value for collection in 2008 in order to maintain existing services and meet
increasing library service demands. Levy
increases in subsequent years would be as allowed by chapter 84.55 RCW. Should this proposition be approved?

Tax Limit Increase
This proposition concerns
an increase in the property tax levy for emergency services. In order to achieve Kitsap Fire Protection District
No. 18’s goals of maintaining its level of service, equipment and facilities,
replacing some emergency vehicles, and providing additional emergency response
personnel, this proposition authorizes the District to increase its existing
property tax levy to $1.29 per $1,000 of assessed value, for collection
starting in 2008. Succeeding year levy
increases would be limited as provided by Chapter 84.55 RCW. Should this proposition be enacted into law?
