Who We Are
The Kitsap County Arts Board was formed by the Board of County Commissioners on August 20th, 2001 when the Arts Board Ordinance was adopted. The board was established to administer the 1% for Art Program.  The Arts Board consists of nine citizen volunteers, three from each of the three districts. They are appointed by the Commissioner of the district they reside in and represent.

Meeting Dates
The Arts Board meets on the 1st Wednesday of every month at 4:30 p.m. at the Silverdale Community Center, in the Popular Room, unless otherwise noted.  View 2010 Schedule

Our Mission
The Arts Board's mission is to promote excellence, access, education and diversity in the arts, in order to improve the quality of life for all Kitsap residents.

Promoting Arts and Economic Vitality
The Arts Board promotes and encourages private and public programs to further the development and public interest in arts and culture. Their programs seek to increase employment opportunities 
in the arts and to encourage the integration of art into County properties contributing to the economic vitality of our community at large.
