Park and Recreation 
Advisory Board

Function/Purpose
The purpose of the Park and Recreation Advisory Board, which replaced the Open Space Parks and Greenways Advisory Committee (OSPAG), is to provide timely advise to the Parks and Recreation Director and the County Commissioners regarding the acquisition, development and administration of various park properties. The County Commissioners may also request the group to create sub-committees to address specific issues related to park improvements and recreation programs.

Established
The current Park and Recreation Advisory Board was established December 13, 2004 with the revision of Kitsap County Code Section 10.12.

Meeting Time and Location
Meetings are held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every other month at various locations in the county.

Membership
As set forth in Kitsap County Code Section 10.12:  Four members from each Commissioner district shall be appointed to serve staggered 3 year terms.
