                          BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

                     May 12, 2003

The Board of Commissioners met on the above-stated date.  Present 
were Chair Jan Angel, Commissioner Chris Endresen, Commissioner 
Patty Lent, County Administrator Malcolm Fleming and Clerk of the 
Board, Opal Robertson. (THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS' PUBLIC MEETINGS AND 
PUBLIC HEARINGS ARE AUDIO AND VIDEO TAPED). 

ITEMS SET FOR TIME CERTAIN:


10:00)	Meeting Called to Order with Pledge of Allegiance.

10:00) A	Special meeting to consider an appointment to the Port of Tracyton 
Commission.
	
Commissioner Lent gave a brief history on the Port of Tracyton.

A motion was made by Commissioner Lent and seconded by Commissioner Endresen 
that the Board appoints Gary T. Keenan as the new commissioner to the Port of Tracyton. 
Motion carries unanimously.


Special meeting adjourned at 10:15 AM.

	10:00) A	Public hearing to consider a Petition to Vacate a portion of "N" 
Street, Plat of Bremerton Heights filed by Joel Baxter. The portion 
requesting to be vacated is approximately 7,457 square feet (40' x 
186.37") located at the intersection of National Avenue West and "N" 
Street, in South Kitsap, Commissioner District No. 2.
	10:00) B	Public hearing to consider an Ordinance establishing the Kitsap 
County Citizens' Commission on Salaries for Elected Officials for 
the purpose of setting salaries for Kitsap County Commissioners and 
other Kitsap County Elected officials.

	6:00 PM	Public hearing to consider input on the Kitsap County's Master Plan 
for future growth around the Courthouse Campus (This hearing will be 
held the Board of Commissioners' Chambers).
