North Kitsap Limited Areas of
More Intensive Rural Development (LAMIRD)

Introduction

Kitsap County developed four industrial and commercial LAMIRDs (Limited Areas of More Intensive Rural Development) in North Kitsap.

Outcomes

The LAMIRD process allowed the County to tailor zoning regulations to individual industrial clusters based on current and historic land use.

Planning Process

DCD staff is worked with affected businesses and property owners to draft a boundary and associated land uses.
