All of the suggestions to decrease risk in this site are voluntary. Take a look at your property, decide which risks you would like to decrease, review the charts, then go for it! You'll be happy you did.

Prevent Wildfire Damage

The primary way to create a landscape that will make your home less vulnerable to wildfire is fuel modification. Keep a well-irrigated area 30 feet around your home to provide space for fire suppression equipment in the event of an emergency.

Prevent Crime Damage

Focus on having clear views of your home with adequate lighting to reduce opportunities for crime on your property.

Prevent Environmental Damage

The primary way of landscaping your yard for environment stewardship is to ensure that water filters naturally through your property.
