Making Choices

There are times when making a decision to decrease one risk may increase another. For example, if you decide to place plants with thorns near your child’s window to deter thieves from entering your home, your child may now be more hesitant to escape through the window during a fire. This is the time you need to assess which risk is greater, and decide which action to take.
