This model is stated to provide 1 to 3 meter accuracy when the PDOP (Position dilution of precision) value is below 6, with a minimum of 4 satellites in view, above 15 degrees of the horizon. Varying by feature type, 4% - 13% of the data collected fell outside of this PDOP range. During data collection, a wide variety of conditions are encountered that can block the signal for short periods, or reduce the number of satellites found. These conditions include steep slopes along the shore, heavy forested shorelines, and tall urban development.</PRE>
