Eastern Kitsap Nearshore Inventory Maps Page
During the Summer and early Fall of 2007, Kitsap County field crews inventoried the Eastern saltwater shoreline and collected a variety of information concerning environmental stressors and conditions.

The unit of division of the shoreline is described as a Reach, and one part of the inventory involved measuring a number of different factors at the midpoint of each of these reaches.

Other features were noted as encountered, such as armoring, outfalls, etc.
The map below shows the locations and length of each Reach, and in following sections are maps of some of the more important aspects of these Reaches, inventoried either by the mid-reach, or as the feature were encountered.

There is also a Fact Sheet about the data collected, and downloadable files for your use in Google-Earth. They are in KML format, so that you can save them to your own local drive, and access the data as needed.

Shoreline Reaches
