- Logical consistency report:
- These are 5' topo lines, created from LiDAR data.
Originally 6' grid cells, they have been smoothed to produce a visually accurate line for web-based viewing.
Smoothing was done using a 3x3 (cell-by-cell) neighborhood mean. Due to this smoothing operation, these topo lines are best used for illustrative purposes.
These data sets cover large areas, and more accurate topographic data should be produced from the individual bare-earth tiles (without smoothing) when contour data is specifically requested for a small area or when digital data is requested.
Please note the LiDAR topography for Bainbridge Island was acquired prior to the rest of Kitsap County and processed separately by Public Utility District #1 of Kitsap County.
