- Abstract:
- This data set is the Urban Growth Areas Boundries. Designated Urban Growth Areas are intended to accommodate 20 years population growth, based on official growth management forcasts adopted by the Office of Financial Management. The Ktsap Regional Coordinating Council (KRCC) - comprised of elected officals of the region's governmental entities - is the body charged with making such allocations. Conisistant with the Growth Management Act, Urban Growth Areas may change over time to reflect population growth and land use trends. Joint Planning Areas refer to unicorporated areas, generally contiguous or adjacent to cities, which have been proposed by each City for inclusion in a "city Urban Growth Area".
