Mission Statement

Kitsap County's GIS Division provides core services and resources to County Departments, regional entities, and the public. Our services include development, maintenance and distribution of enterprise based and business-driven spatial data, applications and mapping. In collaboration with other divisions and departments, we provide GIS environment customization, web-based map and data development, and on-going GIS application support. As an additional resource, we provide the coordination of GIS activities, and software license management and maintenance across County departments. In conjunction with other IS Divisions and County departments, we assist in evaluation and development of technology initiatives to achieve the Kitsap County Mission and Board of Commissioners' Goals.

Custom GIS Services

Upon request, we can provide GIS services directly to external agencies or the public. These services include creating a customized map, performing GIS analyses, and developing databases and applications. We charge an hourly rate; for 2011 the rate is $76.03. Most requests take at least four hours, and there is a minimum charge of one hour. Click here for a online form to request custom services.
