LONG TERM CARE OMBUDSMAN ADVISORY COUNCIL
FUNCTION/PURPOSE
- The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Advisory Council was established in
1994 by the Board of Commissioners by Resolution No. 449-1994.
-
- Its primary responsibilities are to advise the Regional Long Term Care
Ombudsman on recruitment, selection, training and support of volunteer
ombudsmen; dissemination of public information regarding the volunteer
program and services; and local program operation, goals and priorities.
MEETING TIME AND LOCATION:
- Quarterly - time and place to be determined by Chairperson
NUMBER OF MEMBERS/APPOINTMENT TERMS:
- Nine to eleven members are appointed by the Board of Commissioners and
are representative of legal specialists, senior advocates, long term
care providers, mental health specialists, long term care consumers, and
other interests.
