Services are provided to over 700 economically
disadvantaged teens and adults and dislocated workers each year in
Kitsap County.
The program, which is entirely federally funded,
administers approximately $2,000,000 under grant agreements from the
state.
In addition to the above job services, Kitsap County
residents who are age 55 and over may be eligible for the Title V Senior
Employment Program. This program provides part-time paid community
service training opportunities to older workers who are in economic and
social need. Title V fosters individual economic self-sufficiency
through subsidized training and subsequent placement into unsubsidized
jobs.
Kitsap County Aging and Long Term Care currently
contracts with WorkSource of Kitsap County to provide senior employment
