Thank you for your interest in working for Kitsap County.  One of the goals of the County's Personnel Department is to recruit, select, and retain the most qualified employees. The County accepts applications for open positions only.
The Personnel Department is located at 507 Austin Street in Port Orchard.
Office hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday thru Thursday.
Closed on Fridays, weekends and holidays.

Screening = Applications are being reviewed.  (Next status update will be "Testing" or "Interviewing".)
Testing = Employment testing is being conducted.  Those applicants scheduled to be tested have been contacted by email, phone or letter.  (Next status update will be "Interviewing".)
Interviewing = Interviews have been scheduled. Selected candidates have been contacted. This phase may include a second interview and also includes reference and background checks and pre-employment physicals. Depending on position, this phase may take several weeks. (Next status update will be "Hired".)
Hired = Position has been filled. Interviewed candidates to be placed on a hiring register will be notified. Hired positions will remain on the status board for 30 days following hire date.
