Kitsap County Seeking Representatives for Suquamish Citizen Advisory Committee

PORT ORCHARD, WA—Commissioner Endresen is accepting applications from Suquamish residents interested in appointment to a Suquamish Citizen Advisory Committee. The commissioner is seeking at-large candidates and representatives of community groups. The Suquamish Citizen Advisory Committee is being formed to provide a forum for community discussion on the many issues and interests found in the rural Suquamish community. It is expected that the committee will foster enhanced communication between the residents of the Suquamish area, Suquamish Tribal Government and Kitsap County, as well as help coordinate efforts of the community residents currently at work on improving the Suquamish community. It is intended that the committee will include representatives of the broad interests found in Suquamish and will work to address the interests and concerns of the community.

For further information or to receive an application packet, please contact Jan Koske at (360) 337-4650 or jkoske@co.kitsap.wa.us, or complete an application online at www.kitsapgov.com/volunteer/frmbrdapp.htm. Applications will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on May 1, 2006.
