County Declares Emergency Due to Flooding and
Landslides
PORT
ORCHARD, WA—Because of landslides starting to occur in the
Manchester area due to heavy rains, the Kitsap Board of County Commissioners
has declared an emergency. Commissioners Jan Angel and Chris Endresen signed
the Declaration of Emergency/Disaster at the request of Phyllis Mann,
Director of Emergency Management. The declaration allows Kitsap County
government to assist citizens in mitigating any flood or landslide damage.
The declaration is also the first step in requesting federal assistance.
Citizens who need sandbags can obtain them at no
charge at the following locations:
North Kitsap County Road Shed
304 Bernt Rd NE
Bond Rd/Hwy 305, Poulsbo
Central Kitsap County Road Shed
1971 Seabeck Hwy NW
Bremerton
South Kitsap County Road Shed
2339 SE Cedar Rd
Port Orchard

them know of any damages due to flooding or email them at
