Washington Joins Kitsap County as New Chief Deputy
E. Washington has joined
County as the new Chief Deputy Auditor. Previously, he was the Interim
Assistant Director of the Records, Elections and Licensing Services Division
for the King County Department of Executive Services, where he was known for
developing work plans that foster a shift from unstructured work
environments to team-oriented complex infrastructures.
Washington has a wealth of experience in managing budgets, human resources,
project planning and innovation for work groups," said Auditor Karen Flynn.
"We look forward to the contributions he’ll bring to our goal of improving
overall service delivery to the public and to other governmental agencies."
stepping in as Interim Assistant Director, Washington served King County as
Manager of Animal Services and Programs for two years and Superintendent of
Records for five years. He also served the City of Seattle for ten years.

Washington holds a Bachelors degree in Personnel Management from the
University of Nevada in Reno. He is the National Second Vice President of
Blacks in Government and a member of a number of state government and
consumer protection organizations. Prior to his public sector employment,
Washington spent 18 years in banking attaining the position of Vice
President and Branch Manager of a major banking facility. He is a Vietnam
Era Veteran with two Meritorious Masts, three field promotions and the
American Spirit Honor Medal.
