Substance Abuse Advisory Board openings
PORT
ORCHARD, WA—The Kitsap County Board of Commissioners is seeking
applications from citizens interested in public service on the Substance
Abuse Advisory Board. The nine-member board is required by the state to
provide guidance and program oversight for substance abuse treatment and
prevention programs in Kitsap County. The board reviews all service plans,
applications for funding and expenditure budgets. The Advisory Board meets
monthly at the Kitsap County Fairgrounds Special Event Center, 1195 NW
Fairgrounds Rd. Members are chosen to serve on the board for their
demonstrated concern for alcoholism and other drug addiction problems.
Deadline for applications is 4:30 PM on November 16, 2007. An application
and position description may be obtained from the Office of Volunteer
Services, 619 Division Street, Port Orchard. For further information and to
