Salsbury Point Park boat ramp to be removed on Sunday,
Oct. 28 for the winter season
PORT
ORCHARD, WA—The boat ramp at the popular Kitsap County Salsbury
Point Park near the Hood Canal Bridge will be removed for the winter season
on Sunday, October 28.
“Protecting the dock from the winter weather and strong winds is a
safeguarding measure that we do each season,” Chip Faver, Parks and
Recreation Department director said. “The boat dock will be reinstalled next
April when weather and tidal conditions are favorable.”
Faver also noted that restrooms at all Kitsap County Parks are closed for
the winter and that visitors should plan their visits appropriately.
Located just north of the Hood Canal Bridge, Salsbury Point Park offers
beautiful vistas of the Olympic mountains, saltwater beach access, fishing
pier, boat launch, restrooms, picnic shelter, playground and picnic areas.
