Response to Concerns over the County Prescription Card
Port Orchard, WA - In response to the article ran by the Kitsap Sun on April
1st, 2008, Kitsap County would like to take this opportunity to address some
of the concerns brought up in the article. The County is a member of the
National Association of Counties (NACo). Caremark has worked with NACo to
negotiate lower prices from the pharmacies. This negotiation did not and
does not cost the taxpayers of Kitsap County. This negotiation in fact,
encourages residents to shop at local pharmacies.
County Residents can call toll free 1-877-321-2652 or visit
