KITSAP COUNTY STREAM TEAM OPEN HOUSE
Kitsap Stream Team Hosts Open House For Citizens Interested in Watershed Stewardship

The Kitsap County Stream Team will be holding an Open House on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from 5-7pm at the Silverdale Community Center’s Evergreen Room. Current, past and future volunteers are all welcome to attend and find out what Stream Team Watersheds Network does and how you can get involved to make a difference in your watershed environment. Training, sign-ups and other information will be available for those interested in stream monitoring this fall. There will be some hands-on displays highlighting current activities along with ideas on environmental stewardship opportunities. All ages are welcome.

The Stream Team program provides technical assistance, education, watershed monitoring and limited financial support that encourages community-based, stewardship activities including biological monitoring, restoration and other activities. Stream Team is supported by the Surface and Stormwater Management Program and the Department of Community Development.
