Clerk's Office Open Columbus Day to Process
Passports
(Port Orchard, WA) – “We want to make sure everyone who needs a passport or a passport card has the opportunity to get one,” says County Clerk Dave Peterson, “so we are making sure everyone knows we will be open on Columbus Day, October 13, 2008.
On June 1, 2009, the U.S. government will implement the full requirements of the land and sea phase of Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative. The proposed rules require U.S. citizens entering the United States at sea or land ports of entry to have a passport, passport card, or other accepted documentation (for complete details, go to www.travel.state.gov).
