Holiday Closures for Garbage, Recycling, and Household Hazardous Waste Drop-off
(Port Orchard) – The holidays will cause several changes to garbage pick-up schedules, drop-off recycling, and household hazardous waste drop-off collection.
The Kitsap County Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection Facility closes December
25 for heavy facility maintenance and reopens January 2.
The recycling and garbage facilities at Bainbridge Island, Silverdale, Hansville, Poulsbo, and Olalla are closed Christmas and
New Year’s Day. Additionally, all of the facilities close at 1 pm on December 24 and 2 pm December
31, except Bainbridge Island, which has normal hours both days.
The Olympic View Transfer Station is closed Christmas and New Year’s Day.
This facility has normal hours December 24 and December 31.
Waste Management and Bainbridge Disposal will not provide service on Christmas or New Year’s Day.
Waste Management's Thursday pick-ups are on Friday, and Friday pick-ups
are on Saturday. The City of Poulsbo garbage and recycling pick-ups will continue on their regular schedule throughout the holidays.
