Community Development Improves Payment Method

Port Orchard, WA — Kitsap County has announced an improved way to pay permitting fees beginning February 11, 2009. “This brings us one step closer to complete online permitting,” according to Larry Keeton, Community Development Director. 

The improved credit card processing method allows clients to make payments remotely from the convenience of their home or office 24 hours a day, seven days a week using a secure internet site. Transactions are processed by a third party agency, Official Payments Corporation, and can be made with MasterCard, American Express, or Discover cards. VISA cards are not accepted in this program. A transaction fee of 2.5% is added to the total amount of the permit fees paid.
