Treecycling Begins December 26th

(Port Orchard) –  The countywide treecycling program begins December 26 and runs through January 15 at the locations listed below during regular business hours. The recycling and garbage facilities close early on December 31 (2 pm) and are closed all day on January 1.

County crews will drop off chips at accessible residences near their chipping locations while quantities last. To get on the “free chips” list, download the form at www.kitsapgov.com/sw or call Kitsap 1 at 360-337-5777.

Residents are reminded to remove all nails, tinsel, lights, and ornaments before recycling their tree. Flocked trees cannot be accepted because they are potentially harmful to the environment. Also, please do not bring wreaths or garland.
