Special three-day candidate filing period announced for proposed Bainbridge
Island Port District

County Commissioners voted, on July 25, to approve a resolution that will allow
the formation of a Bainbridge Island Port District to go before voters in the
Nov. 8 general election.
proposed port district will share its boundaries with the City of Bainbridge
Island and be governed by a five-member port commission with members elected
three-day candidate filing period for these five proposed at-large positions

filings will be accepted in the Kitsap County Auditor – Elections Division
office at 619 Division St., Port Orchard, WA 98366.
registered voter residing within the proposed district is eligible to file
for one of these nonpartisan positions. Candidates who file for these
positions will appear on the Nov. 8 general election ballot. There are no
filing fees for these positions.
