Residents can "Get Connected" during the Fair
New programs increase the way residents stay informed
about County activities
(Port Orchard, WA) -
Fairgoers have a great opportunity to sign up for a suite of new customer
services at this year’s County Fair. At the “Get Connected” booth in the
Pavilion residents can sign up for electronic notification, learn about
electronic service requests, and discover a new web site designed for
24-hour self service.
At the booth, located on the west
wall of the Pavilion, residents can sign up
the Kitsap Electronic Notification System (https://public.govdelivery.com/accounts/WAKITSAP/subscriber/new).
This new service provides notifications, either by e-mail or text message,
from a myriad of subjects subscribers choose. They also choose the frequency
of notifications and can maintain their account as their needs change.
Residents can choose from various County calendars, employment
opportunities, inclement weather information and other subjects. Each time
new information is posted to the County’s web site subscribers receive
notification of the change.
kitsap1.com is a new launch page where customers can request services
as well as explore a knowledge base of information related to a
myriad of subjects.
Residents can choose to register an account or to use the system without
registering. Registered users can maintain a record of their requests and
check the status electronically.
Kitsap 24/7 (www.kitsap24x7.com)
is an alphabetical listing of self-service
options available from the
County. This includes downloadable forms, forms that can be completed online
then printed for further processing, or complete services done entirely
online. This page is updated often as process improvements identify more
services suited to electronic processing.
The County is also posting information to a new Facebook page
Postings there link to the updated information and provide another way for
residents to stay connected. Icons to get to each of these services are
posted to the County’s web site (www.kitsapgov.com). Assistance is also
available by email (email@example.com) or by calling
Kitsap 1 at 360-337-5777. Kitsap 1 is staffed 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday
through Thursday and 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 P.M. Friday.
