Silverdale roundabout construction begins the week of May 14th
Informational open house scheduled for May 8th

(Port Orchard) - Work on the new roundabout planned at the intersection of Silverdale Way, Chico Way and NW Newberry Hill road is scheduled to begin the week of May 14th. Newberry Hill Road and Silverdale Way will remain open to traffic during the project, but motorists can expect significant delays.

Access to and from Chico Way will be eliminated for the duration of the project beginning May 21st. A detour using El Dorado Boulevard and Provost road can be used to get around the closure. Follow the link below for a map of the detour route.

"We expect significant delays, and appreciate your use of alternate routes during construction," Tina Nelson, Senior Program Manager at Public Works said. "Less traffic through the work zone makes for a safer, faster, and better project," Nelson added.

An open house is planned May 8th in the Evergreen Room at the Silverdale Community Center. Public Works staff and representatives from the contractor, Stan Palmer Construction, will be on hand to explain the project and what to expect during construction. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. For complete information about the project follow the link below.
