Be on the lookout for Poison hemlock!

(Port Orchard, WA) – Poison hemlock is an aggressive toxic plant rapidly invading Kitsap County! Now is the time to check your property for Poison hemlock’s feathery foliage.

Harboring this plant on your property can prove deadly, as it did for one woman in Tacoma. What is the best thing to do with this toxic threat? Get on some gloves and tackle this plant at the root of its problems.

Pull it out and get it in the trash! Keep in mind that if just one goes to seed in your yard this year, you will have thousands to contend with for the next 5-10 years. Poison hemlock has some look-a-likes that are not as harmful. Look at the stalks of the plants for purple spots. Those are the dead giveaway for properly identifying poison hemlock.

Follow the links below for more information that will help you spot and stop this deadly plant.
