FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Sustainable Cinema Series features (Port Orchard) - Garden season has arrived. Opportunities abound for transformative experiences in the garden, whether its vegetables and fruits to savor or flowers to admire. “A Lot in Common” depicts some extraordinary community garden neighbors. They take over an abandoned lot in Berkley, California and transform it into a disarmingly beautiful community garden with commons area, a vibrant space for kids, lush planting beds, eco-friendly demonstration projects and stunning public art. They discover they really do have A Lot in Common. “A Lot in Common” is Emmy award-winning producer/editor Rick Bacigalupi’s first feature-length independent documentary and is endorsed by the American Community Gardening Association. The Sustainable Cinema Series offers films to stimulate community discussion. The film series is sponsored by Kitsap County Commissioner Charlotte Garrido and held at the Dragonfly Cinema in downtown Port Orchard at 822 Bay Street. Donations are gratefully accepted, $5 is suggested. |
