Suquamish Citizen Advisory Group is sponsoring "Celebrate Suquamish"
Suquamish community celebrates Earth Day with two community events

(Suquamish, WA) - Do you live in Suquamish? Are you interested in what is happening in the community? Do you want to be a part of the community action committee? If you answer yes to any or all of these questions plan to attend “Celebrate Suquamish” April 20 at the United Church of Christ in Suquamish.

This special one-day gathering is a free event designed to help residents of Suquamish learn about improvements, projects and programs planned for our community. Local business owners, club and organizational leaders, and environmental groups are coming to answer questions and share information about their programs. The program begins at 10:00 a.m. and runs until 2:00 p.m.

The Celebrate Suquamish event runs in conjunction with the Suquamish Community Clean-Up Day. Residents can meet at 9:00 a.m. at the United Church of Christ to help celebrate Earth Day by making the community a nicer place. Participants will get bags and “picker-uppers”, gloves and high-resolution safety vests while working the cleanup. Snacks and Coyote coffee is provided.

“This is a great opportunity for every civic-minded resident,” according to Tom Curley, Chairman of the Suquamish Citizen Advisory Group. “It’s an excellent way to get informed, and help make our community shine brighter,” Curley added.
