Central Kitsap Community Council meeting set for
Bucklin Hill Bridge, County Trail Plan and
library initiative on the agenda
(Port Orchard, WA) - The Bucklin Hill Bridge
Project, Kitsap Countyís Non-Motorized Trail Plan and a new Silverdale
Library initiative will all be discussed at the Central Kitsap Community
Council meeting at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 16 in the Water and Fire
District Community Room on Newberry Hill Road in Silverdale.
Kitsap County staff will give presentations on the Bucklin Hill bridge
project and the proposed Countywide Non-Motorized Plan. Tina Nelson, Public
Works Senior Project Manager, will provide an update on the 90-percent
design of the bridge, and Dennis Oost of the Department of Community
Development will present an outline of the new non-motorized trail plan.
This is an excellent opportunity for Central Kitsap residents to learn more
about and comment on both projects. There will also be a presentation by
Anne Lunden, one of the principals involved with the new Silverdale Library
Initiative, who will introduce the groupís mission and a work plan outline.
