Holiday highlights at Point No Point Lighthouse

(Port Orchard) - Young and old alike will be happy to know that as Santa Claus is Coming to Town, he will have some extra light guiding his way to Hansville again this year! Volunteers will decorate the Lighthouse for the holidays at 10 a.m.  Saturday, December 7. Officials for the Kitsap County Parks Department say all volunteers are welcome.

In addition to decorating the lighthouse, volunteers will welcome visitors to the Lighthouse for the Annual Hansville Ladies Aid Holiday Home Tour on Friday, December 13 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Included in the tour will be knowledgeable and friendly docents sharing hot apple cider and tales of the Lighthouse long ago.

Point No Point Lighthouse is the oldest lighthouse on the Puget Sound, built in 1879, and includes the Lighthouse Keepers quarters that can be rented.

For more information about the Point No Point Lighthouse, contact Dori Leckner, Superintendent of Resources at 360.337.5362 or .
