Review county’s preliminary sign code at public meetings this month

Kitsap County’s Department of Community Development is conducting a public outreach effort regarding a preliminary draft Sign Code. Multiple events throughout the county will occur this month to obtain public feedback and identify potential issues and concerns. The public is encouraged and welcome to attend these meetings to learn more.

Major elements of the sign code include permitting, variances, prohibited and exempt signage, size and location requirements, electronic signs, design guidelines, maintenance, contractor’s licensing and violations. To view the Preliminary Draft Sign Code language, and to submit comments and questions, go to www.kitsapgov.com/dcd/community_plan/sign_code_update/default.htm or call (360) 337-5777.
