DCD provides residential stormwater requirements training

(Port Orchard, WA)  Kitsap County Community Development (DCD) continues to host a series of training opportunities for customers seeking building permits. The next training focuses on onsite stormwater management requirements and stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP) submittal requirements. The training is being held at the Kitsap County Administration Building - Commissioners Chambers on Friday, April 18 at 2 p.m. Click here for a flyer about the training.

The most recent stormwater regulations were implemented in February of 2010. To gather enough information to review permit applications for compliance with these regulations the forms for permit application submittal ask for many details. This training helps to guide the applicant through the process of completing these forms. Beginning August 1, 2012 DCD required that all submittal items are present and filled out completely at the time of application submittal. This is to reduce the wait time within the department for information that may be critical for the review process. Join us on April 18th to learn how to select the right stormwater mitigation for your project and fill out the forms so that you can receive your permit as soon as possible.
