Voters’ Pamphlet committees sought for Nov. 4 General Election

(Port Orchard, WA) - Kitsap’s Local Voters’ Pamphlet includes a wealth of information designed to help voters better understand the voting process and contests when casting their ballots.

Each ballot measure appearing in the Nov. 4, General Election Local Voters’ Pamphlet includes the official ballot title, explanatory statement, arguments “for” and “against” the measure, and rebuttals.

The Auditor’s Office is seeking individuals to serve on committees to draft voters’ pamphlet arguments for the following local measures:

“The Local Voters’ Pamphlet is an invaluable resource for our citizens,” says Kitsap County Elections Division Manager Dolores Gilmore. “Committees representing both sides of the issue are critical to ensuring our voters cast informed ballots this fall.”

Committee members do not have to be residents of the district in order to draft arguments. Interested parties should contact the Elections Division by 5 p.m., Aug. 18. Email or call 360-337-7128 if interested.

More information on these ballot measures is available online.
