Suquamish road and water improvements discussed Thursday (9/3)

(Port Orchard, WA) - Suquamish residents can learn more about a newly forming merchants’ association, get updates on continuing road improvements and hear about Clean Water Kitsap partnerships and initiatives this Thursday at the regular monthly meeting of the Suquamish Citizens Advisory Committee. The meeting takes place 6-8 p.m. September 3 in the Suquamish Council Chambers, 18490 Suquamish Way NE. For more information, call 360.337.4683.

The SCAC was formed to provide a forum for community discussion on the many issues and interests found in the rural Suquamish community. The committee works to enhance communication between residents of the Suquamish area, the Suquamish tribal government and Kitsap County departments. Its members are appointed by Kitsap County Commissioners. There are currently vacancies on the committee and applications are being accepted. For more information on serving on the SCAC, go to or call Kitsap County Volunteer Services at 360.337.4650.
