Port of Kingston reviews economics, planning at Kingston meeting September 7
Applications open to participate in annual open house September 29

(Port Orchard, WA) –  The Port of Kingston’s new executive director, Jim Pivarnik, is the featured speaker at the Kingston Citizens Advisory Council meeting, 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 7 in the Village Green Community Center, 26159 Dulay Road NE, Kingston. He will give a brief overview on “Ports 101,” including a review of the purpose of the port, its mission, economic benefits, future projects and revising the master plan. The public is invited and encouraged to attend.

Applications are now being accepted to reserve informational tables at the Kingston Citizens Advisory Council annual Community Open House, scheduled for 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday, September 29 at the Village Green Community Center. The open house provides residents, businesses, developers and other interested parties the opportunity to learn about community events and non-profit organizations, volunteer opportunities and Kitsap County projects, planning and initiatives. Kitsap County Parks, Public Works and Community Development will participate alongside dozens of local groups.

Space is limited – register as soon as possible. Applications are available online here . Application deadline is September 22.

The mission of KCAC is to develop and promote a sense of community vision and pride. Its members facilitate communication between the citizens of Kingston and county government, bringing issues and providing feedback to and from the county. The Kingston Community Open House provides a venue to do this with many Kingston organizations and citizens gathering to share information with their neighbors.
