"The Prison Experience" forum explores impact of mass incarceration

(Bremerton, WA) – The Prison Experience” will explore what mass incarceration looks like in the state of Washington and explore the human face of the prison system. This public forum takes place 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, November 10 at the Bremer Student Center North-South Conference Room of Olympic College, 1600 Chester Avenue, Bremerton. It is free and open to the public.

Learn more about the impact of mass incarceration throughout the United States as a panel of former prisoners talks frankly about their daily lives in Washington prisons and the impact of prison on their families. They’ll also share hard-won recommendations for prison reform.

The event is sponsored by the Kitsap County Council for Human Rights, Agate Passage Friends Meeting, Olympic College, Civil Survival, Living Life Leadership and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
