Stevens Road Improvements in South Kitsap

Public Works is making preparations for road improvements to Stevens Road between the Pierce County Line (160th St.) and the intersection with Bandix Road in the spring of 2011.

 Local residents were surveyed for opinions on four different improvement options:
( 1 )  Standard 11-foot travel lanes with 6 foot wide paved shoulders
( 2 )  Two 11-foot travel lanes with 3-foot paved shoulders
( 3 )  Two 10-foot travel lanes with 4-foot paved shoulders
( 4 )  Pulverizing and repaving existing roadway to the existing width

Due to various public works projects, a decision concerning the specific road design is not anticipated until spring 2010.   At that time, we will contact all property owners who reside along Stevens Road SE with an update of our progress.
